Quick navigation:
With our VoIP App, you can make calls anywhere in the world!

The free VoIP App lets you make and receive calls using your landline number from your mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. It is ideal for home users, small businesses, charities, and anyone who wants the freedom to answer their landline wherever they have WiFi or mobile data.
Your VoIP App works alongside your VoIP Adapter at home or your VoIP phones in the office, so you do not have to choose one or the other. Calls can ring on your app and your main phone setup at the same time, helping you stay connected whether you are at home, in the office, or away from your desk.
Use on multiple devices — including multiple mobile phones
You can use the VoIP App on multiple devices at the same time, including multiple mobile phones. Calls can ring on more than one mobile, as well as tablets and other devices, so you never miss an important call.
It also works when you are abroad, as long as you are connected to WiFi or mobile data. You can continue to make and receive calls using your landline number as if you were still in the UK, helping you avoid expensive international roaming charges. Please check any international data charges with your mobile provider before travelling.
Full setup instructions are below.

Why Use a VoIP App Instead of Call Forwarding?
Some people choose to forward their landline number to a mobile, but this has limitations. A VoIP App gives you much more flexibility and keeps your landline identity intact.
| Feature | VoIP App | Call Forwarding |
|---|---|---|
| Shows calls are to your landline number | Yes | Not always clear |
| Make outbound calls using your landline number | Yes | No (shows your mobile number) |
| Works anywhere with WiFi or data | Yes | Yes |
| Professional for business use | Yes | Limited |
| Control over how and where calls ring | Yes | Basic |
For home users, a VoIP App adds convenience. For businesses, it ensures you always present a consistent and professional landline number, no matter where you are working from.

VoIP App Helpful Tips and Quick Fixes
Quick checklist: If your VoIP App isn’t working as expected, run through the steps below — most issues are resolved in just a few minutes.
🔧 Quick Fixes
Restart your device (first step)
Close all apps and restart your mobile device. This resolves most issues quickly.
Check for software updates
Make sure your phone’s software and apps are fully up to date, as outdated versions can sometimes affect performance.
Disable battery saving or app “sleep” settings
Some phones automatically put apps into a sleep or battery saving mode. Ensure the VoIP App is not restricted, as this can stop calls from coming through.
Background apps and phone behaviour
Multiple apps running in the background can occasionally affect calling apps. Restarting your device regularly helps keep everything running smoothly.
📶 Connection and Call Quality
Internet connection required
A stable WiFi or mobile data connection is needed to make and receive calls.
Mobile signal and WiFi quality matter
Call quality depends on your connection. Poor signal may affect clarity.
Out of signal or no internet?
Callers can still leave a voicemail, which is sent to you by email so you never miss important messages.
⚙️ General Usage
Battery usage
The app runs in the background and may use some battery to stay connected for incoming calls.
Notifications must be enabled
If notifications are turned off, you may not be alerted to incoming calls.
Not a replacement for emergency backup
We recommend having an alternative way to make emergency calls if your internet connection is unavailable.

When the VoIP App Works Best
The VoIP App is designed to give you flexibility and ensure you never miss important calls. While the VoIP App is useful for anyone wanting flexibility, it becomes especially valuable in real-world situations like these:
- Working away from home or the office – take your landline number with you wherever you go
- Running a business – answer calls professionally from your landline number, even when mobile
- Travelling abroad – stay reachable on your UK landline number using WiFi or mobile data
- Hybrid working – seamlessly switch between home, office and mobile working
- Busy households – ensure calls can still be answered when you are not near your main phone
Answer the Call When It Matters Most
For many small businesses, every incoming call could be a new customer. If a call is missed, there is a good chance that person will simply move on to the next company on their list.
By answering the call there and then using the VoIP App, you increase your chances of securing the enquiry before it goes elsewhere — avoiding the all-too-common response when calling back:
“It’s ok, I’m sorted now.”
VoIP App vs Call Forwarding
It is common to forward a landline number to a mobile for convenience, but this can create limitations when handling calls and presenting your business professionally.
With the VoIP App, you can clearly see calls coming into your landline number and return calls using that same number, helping you make a strong first impression and maintain consistency.
Many people are now hesitant to answer calls from unknown mobile numbers. Calling back from your landline number instead can significantly improve answer rates and make your business appear more trustworthy.
